Precise controls for mobile soil remediation
ASCR needed a control system and drives to run a mobile soil remediation system that uses electrical induction heating, including a high-line power connection.
ACE supplied a high-line transformer with harmonic mitigation, plus an Omron PLC system with ABB ACS880 drives for auger control and Modbus/TCP control of the induction heating coils. The system holds a tight control loop across multiple heating zones and material feed rates to drive thermal oxidation and destroy contaminants in the soil.
ACE commissioned the equipment onsite in Alaska, with the customer satisfied by the end results and final soil testing.
